Do you want to...
I want to share this toolkit with you, and help you improve every aspect of your climbing. This course gives you the insight and the tools to add to your own kit that you can take away and use today!
Some of what I teach you may help you jump many rungs of the ladder at once, and others will simply give you a single percentage. But 1% added to each portion of you as a climber will lead to huge improvements when added together.
Strength is just a portion of the pie.
Most climbers simply train strength, that seems like a logical thing to work on, but even all the strength in the world is useless without the rest of the pie.
We need to learn how to apply that strength, when to use it, where to use it, how to use it, and how to make the most of what we've got.
For me the strength (physical) is just 25% of what makes up a great boulderer, there is another 25% of tactics, 25% of technique and a final 25% psychological.
I know this sounds a lot but I'll break it all down, explain every part and give you what you need to improve in every quarter.
"There are many obscenely strong boulderers out there who aren't reaching their potential. They are strong, move well on the wall but lack the process and tools for applying their talents and getting up boulders. They climb X grade indoors, but can’t get close outside. Why not? They’re missing 75% of the game!"
Specifically tailored for outdoor bouldering.
For those who already have a strong base knowledge and ability who want to refine their practice, build their skills and get to the next level.
I will give you tools to add to your toolkit that you can use right away. Real skills, tactics and methodology that you can apply on your next session.
Chapter 1 - Introduction and Overview

"I created this course to pass on all the knowledge I've gathered over the years, to give you the head start I wish I had. You don't have to learn these lessons and gather these skills the long, slow and hard way."
Hi, I'm Eliot Stephens, your coach for Mastering Stone.
I’m not some life long climber who’s grown up in the sport. In fact, I didn't discover bouldering until I was 19 years old. Instead I have worked methodically and consistently over the past 15 years to climb a handful of 8C/V15, including my first accent of The Origin Sit and more recently the world famous Dreamtime.
I built up my skills and experience across the UK, then gradually branched out across Europe and the world honing my craft and learning from some of the world’s best.
I have climbed over 400 boulders at 8A/V11, and am still learning and refining my skills today! The minute we stop being willing to learn, is the minute we stop improving. We don’t know, what we don’t know! This is my biggest belief.
"I had previously used some of the off the shelf training plans and while getting me physically stronger, I wasn't improving in my climbing. In contrast, Eliot has levelled up the technical, tactical and psychological aspects of my climbing, as well as improving the physical, which has led me to become a far better climber. As a result, I'm more well rounded in my skill set and have climbed many grades harder than before we started working together. I also feel like I'm in safe hands with my progression and the road ahead to climb my dream boulders seems clear and measurable with Eliot's expert guidance." - Sam Cocum
"The impact Eliot has had on my bouldering cannot be overstated. Whilst so much climbing coaching today focuses exclusively on strength training, Eliot takes a more comprehensive approach to all of the facets which go into climbing performance. ...this knowledge has had a transformative effect on my climbing and broke me out of multiple year plateau. I wholeheartedly recommend Eliot to anyone looking to improve their bouldering." - Simon Pearson
